Regrets

I was happy to be able to help my cousin out. I wasn’t too sure of how I felt about being in a club setting, but it was for a good cause so I didn’t even pay it a second mind. I didn’t even bother to ask my agent if it would be ok or not, but he worked for me so I felt that I really did not need to run everything by him. “Cousin I am so glad you showed up”, Cortez burst out with happiness as he hugged me tight. “Dang you don’t even look the same. You than got all grown up on me.” It had been so long since I seen him that I barely was able to recognize him at first. We were so small when he started getting into trouble and getting sent off. I was glad to see him none the less though. It was always a good thing when I was able to be around my family. I hardly ever saw any of my family since my career took off. If I did see any of them they would only be around to ask me for some money. Cortez was asking for something, but it was not money so he had gained a level of respect for that. He could have easily been asking for money as if I owed him something. For some reason when you make family members just feel entitled as if you owe them the world. It was really stressful at times, but I learned how to deal with it. They know not to come at me as much anymore, but now they attack my dad with it worries him to death. Everyone just calls him, because they know I take good care of him, plus they know that he is the only one closest to me that is able to just have full access to me. It is not easy being successful, but it’s the price you have to pay when you work hard to become the best at what you do. “I am glad to see you too Cortez. How long will it be before we get started? I am on a tight schedule right now. So I can’t really be here for no longer than a hour. So you need to let your friend know.” I started looking around at all of the extras that were coming in to be in the background to make the commercial scene look more real. The girls wore clothes that were so short and tight that I didn’t see how they were about to come out in public like that. The prop man came out and put a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka at each table they were sitting at and the music came out so loud that I could not hear myself think.

I looked around again to see if Cortez’s friend was around. I wanted to sign something for her and giver her my best wishes. In a situation like that someone needed all of the love that they could get.
